MAC Lustre Lipstick

A MAC-happy birthday gift from Des ❤

It seems that more and more people are discovering my new-found interest in makeup ❤ After receiving a Bobbi Brown lipstick from my mom for my birthday, a friend also got me a MAC Lustre Lipstick in Capricious shade. I’m so excited to try it already! Will post a review about these soon 🙂

XOXO, MorenaGirl

Lipstick Lovin’

I ❤ the nude peach shade on the left. I think that shade is similar to my Bobbi Brown lipstick.

Etude House Travel Kit

I got this travel kit from Etude House for free when I bought my mom and sister a skin care set (i will post about it soon). Wohoo for free stuff from Etude!!! I love their freebies!

I Am Morena

I have a little Tumblr project and I’m calling it “I am Morena”.

I’ve been following a lot of makeup and beauty gurus lately like Michelle Phan and some local makeup enthusiasts like Shimmering Andy and Kikay Si Maria and what I’ve noticed is that most of them are fair-skinned. And then I thought, why not start a beauty/makeup blog for the morena-toned ladies?

Why morena? Well, because I am morena, too 🙂 Growing up, I never really liked my color. I think it’s also because of the Pinoy culture – that we always thought that women who are fair-skinned are more beautiful. But, thank God, He made me realize that being morena is beautiful, too.

Psalm 139: 13-14

13 For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.

So, let’s get this beauty/makeup blog started! Yay!
